Terra Flora Landscaping was conceived in 2001 as a Garden maintenance entity. As our clientele developed, we began growing with their needs. Eventually adding garden renovation, property reclaiming to our list, we added a design and build aspect to our services. As well as plant installations and building hardscapes and creating outdoor living space for our clientele. We’ve had the honor of working with area designers such as Cynthia Fine, Gordon Hayward and Julie Meservy, helping them install and maintain their designs.
Presently we manage the landscape at several estates and commercial accounts.
Our passion for connecting people to nature is crucial to our eco-system and environment. Including the use of permaculture, using fruiting or native plants and attractive pollinator plantings.
Owners Cory and Janelle Haskell have run this business for over 20 years. We pride ourselves on the long-term relationships we’ve built during this journey. We hold our services in high regard with extreme attention to detail.
Cory, as a young boy, kept his neighborhood yards looking great by offering his services door to door. After summers of working as a professional painter, he realized his fondness of color coordination, design and architecture. He holds a Business Management degree from Johnson and Wales University. After managing several businesses early in his career, he knew he wanted to be an entrepreneur and loved learning about landscaping with several jobs held at Maple Hill Nursery and Windham Growers. He began learning stonework and landscape installation as a trade; he truly enjoyed the gratification of the finished product. Several opportunities lead to contracted jobs and he has designed and built some of the finest stone work in southern VT and NH. He is also highly skilled machine operator and property manager.
Janelle’s background stems from a vast history of working with plants. At a very early age she knew exactly what her future held. With a love for the outdoor life and gardening along with her grandmother and parents, her skills developed by starting a job at a greenhouse, learning about floriculture crop production. During her high school years attending Horticulture classes as well as internships for floral design and then attending UMass. Amherst, for a degree in Plant and Soil Sciences with a minor in Business. Thereafter college, she managed a cut flower operation at Harlow Farm. After spending time with relatives in England that had created incredible ornamental gardens, visiting Kew Gardens and the National Gallery, she was determined to create beautiful outdoor spaces as well as start a career in floral design specializing in weddings and events. A few years into the farm stand, Cyndy and Janelle would meet and that was the beginning of her commitment to maintaining and creating attractive fine garden spaces.
Cory and Janelle met a few years later, putting our abilities together; we decided to form our company Terra Flora LLC
